What is Productivity Coaching and Why Do Real Estate Agents Need it?
It’s kind of funny. What it takes to succeed in Real Estate (as in most service businesses) is very well-documented. Take for example one of the best selling business books of all time and the best selling Real Estate sales book ever, “The Millionaire Real Estate Agent.” This book is like a thesis study of what high producing sales businesses all have in common: focus driven by a sound business plan all tied together by accountability. This book outlines with simplicity, clarity and precision exactly what one would need to do to achieve stratospheric levels of success in real estate sales.
Here’s the funny part. Only a small fraction of agents practice what this book preaches. And the funnier part…those crazy few who do implement these practices into their business tend to be wildly successful in Real Estate Sales. See…I told you it was funny. I know, I know,... it doesn’t make sense. You’re right. You’re probably asking yourself, “if it’s so well-documented, why isn’t everyone doing it?”. I asked myself the same thing over and over again. The only answer I can come up with is that focus, purposefulness and accountability (all key ingredients to the success we all strive for) rarely come naturally. In fact, our instinct often times is to run from them. But those that intentionally “stand on the shoulders of giants” and embrace the path to stellar success in our business are generally rewarded with more business than they know what to do with.
I like to think of Productivity Coaching as the vehicle that helps Real Estate agents to bridge the divide between understanding what it takes to succeed in Real Estate and actually doing it. I hope you get some ideas that help to spark your energy and enthusiasm for your business from this website. And above all else, I hope you get motivated to embrace accountability as one of the most powerful tools you have available to achieve any level of success you desire.
Coaches get results by showing people and teams how to:
Focus on a meaningful agenda. You will get clear on specific goals, create effective action plans, measure your results, and make adjustments.
Become more resourceful. Procrastination, indecisiveness, over-busyness, and lack of motivation are usally symptoms of negative assumptions, or a lack of knowledge, resources, or skills.
Take Action. The coach and client work together to create assignments that produce results and further learning.
*There is a built in accountability factor that offers powerful motivation for following through on commitments. You will:
Think Bigger! You will develop a clear, compelling vision of your future.
View Yourself Objectively! You will learn to spot your limiting beliefs and self limiting behaviors that are holding you back.
Stop Wasting Time! You will learn to control your life with productive, empowering choices.
Get A Life! Coaching is about the whole person. Life issues impact your business and business issues impact your life. This is a holistic approach!
National statistics speak for themselves. Salespeople who just add continued training alone to their business plan typically gain 22% in their productivity, but those who add training along with coaching to their business plan increase their productivity by a whopping 88%!
